Before starting the treatment, anesthesia is applied and during the treatment, the root canals are cleaned and filled, and then filling or another restorative treatment option can be applied.

Is root canal treatment a painful procedure?

The idea that root canal treatment is a painful procedure is not valid in today's dentistry. The only difference from a simple filling is that it takes a little longer.

What happens if root canal treatment is not done?

The tooth cannot heal itself and becomes a focus of infection. This infection can spread to the entire tooth as well as adversely affect the surrounding tissues.
